Freedom From Smoking

Perry County Health Department

Date[s]: March 6th, 2023 - April 17th, 2023
Time: Mondays, 5:30pm - 7:30pm and one Wednesday (March 29th, 2023)

Freedom From Smoking has helped over a million Americans begin smoke-free lives. The seven-week program is based on the latest research to help smokers gain control over the physical, mental and social aspects of nicotine addiction. It approaches the difficulties of quitting smoking in a supportive and judgment-free style. Freedom From SmokingĀ® is unique because it focuses almost exclusively on how to quit, not why to quit. Studies show that people who use the program are six times more likely to be smoke-free one year later than those who try to quit on their own.

Participants meet for two hours, once a week, for 7 weeks, plus one additional meeting 48 hours after quit day in the fourth week.
